Interpretation Diploma

MASTER'S PROGRAMME IN MUSIC · 120 CREDITS · 2 YEARS

The Master’s programme in Music, Interpretation Diploma is aimed at students who want to invest in a solo career as a singer or instrumentalist in Western art music.

The artistic and professional level is very high and you will be given well-developed knowledge and skills in both musical study and interpretation. The examination is extensive; one solo concert/recital, one chamber music concert and one solo performance with a professional symphony orchestra. For the solo performance Malmö Academy of Music collaborates with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra and the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra.

General requirements for university studies in Sweden as well as a Bachelor in Music 180 credits or equivalent and successful entrance tests to the Master’s Programme in Music, Diploma. Exceptions can be made from the basic eligibility requirement of proficiency in Swedish for international students.
